Hear4U Therapist CPD — Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Hear4U Therapist CPD account and what happens to your data. It applies to the Hear4U Therapist CPD app provided by Hear4U Counselling Ltd (ICO registration ZC178330).

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app (fastest)

  1. Open the app and sign in.

  2. Go to Profile → Data rights (export, erase).

  3. Choose Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately. There is no soft-delete or recovery period.

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app

If you can no longer access the app, email us at hear4ucounselling@outlook.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete my Therapist CPD account".

We will verify the request (to protect your data we may ask you to confirm from the registered email address), complete the deletion within one month — usually much sooner — and confirm to you by email when it is done.

What is deleted

Your profile, professional-body memberships, CPD records, supervision records, private notes, AI reflection audit metadata and hashes, and community posts.

What we keep, and why

  • Invoices and payment records — kept for 6 years plus the current year, as required by UK tax and accounting law. These are held by our payment providers and our accounting records, not in your app account.

  • A minimal, non-identifying deletion record (the date and counts of deleted records, kept to prove the erasure took place) — kept for 6 years.

  • Deleted data leaves our database backups within 35 days.

  • If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, remember to cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play settings — deleting your account does not cancel a store-managed subscription.
